From August 15 to September 19, 2025, the Zhongzheng District Office of Taipei City organized a “Plant Illustration & Coffee Brewing Workshop” at ZhongZheng Community College, Taipei City and near the Nanjichang Lohas Park. The program was conducted in collaboration with ZhongZheng Community College, the Jen Ji Shiang Social Service Institute, Taipei City and Chihlee University of Technology. The course aimed not only to develop participants’ understanding and skills in colored pencil drawing—including mastery of color, composition, and form—but also to provide basic knowledge and professional skills in coffee brewing. Participants learned about brewing equipment and latte art techniques, enjoying the experience of creating artwork while sipping coffee.

The final presentation and social gathering took place on September 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Housebook 60 & Restaurant (B1). The event featured speeches from District

Chief Fang Yueqi, Village Chief Fang Hesheng, Principal Liu Youjun, and Professors Chen Jinsheng and Yu Jiayu, followed by the awarding of completion and perfect attendance certificates. Participants shared their experiences, displayed their artwork, sampled hand-brewed coffee, and joined fun activities including a quiz and advocacy on national pension and emergency assistance. New resident participants also shared their stories, and everyone enjoyed a relaxed social exchange. The day ended with feedback surveys and a group photo, leaving participants with wonderful memories of the course.
