2017 Taipei City New-Immigrant Participatory Budgeting Proposal Meeting

The event was held on June 15 at the Wanhua New Immigrants' Hall. During the meeting, the Department of Civil Affairs, the Department of Social Welfare, the Department of Labor, and the Department of Health introduced new-immigrant policy measures and budgets. Ming Chuan University Department of Public Affairs professor Chen Chin-chun helped new-immigrant families, new-immigrant groups, public servants, and Taipei City residents who care about new-immigrant issues to understand proposal procedures and proposed plausible programs.

During the meeting, new immigrants proposed five programs from the discussion: New-Immigrant Services in Communities, Dance for A Wonderful Life, I Want Suitable Work, New-Immigrant Parent-Child Cultural and Recreational Activities, and Diverse Courses. All of the proposed programs passed with an above50% majority.
