Wanhua New Immigrants’ Hall hosted a wax dyeing workshop on the morning and afternoon of September 16, 2023. We invited Indonesian instructor Saian to introduce the culture and history of Indonesia's national treasure, Batik wax dyeing, as well as wax dyeing tools and materials. Saian guided participants in creating wax dyeing art, and there was also a session by New Immigrant interpreter Lao Guilin, who talked about picture books by Indonesians second generation new immigrants.

Batik pieces created by participants will be exhibited at the Shilin New Immigrants’ Hall in November this year!
