“Taiwan National Safety Handbook: Guidelines for When Crisis Strikes” (10-18)
To strengthen public awareness of disaster preparedness and evacuation, the Ministry of National Defense has launched the “Taiwan National Safety Guidelines.” The challenges we face never cease — whether natural disasters, pandemics, extreme weather, or threats from China, all test our ability to respond. In this unpredictable era, learning disaster preparedness skills and knowledge is not only about protecting yourself, but also about safeguarding those around you. As part of Taiwan, let’s take action together and do our part for this land. What can you do? 1.Prepare supplies: Pack an emergency kit and maintain household reserves. 2.Learn self-rescue skills: Know how to respond to natural disasters (typhoons, earthquakes, tsunamis, landslides, etc.); manage injuries (burns, severe bleeding, moving the injured, etc.); guard against false information; and prepare yourself and your family mentally. All information is available at https://prepare.mnd.gov.tw/ and in the PDF offline version: — everyone is encouraged to read and learn more.
