Many experienced new immigrants often face workplace adaptation challenges in Taiwan due to unfamiliarity with the high-context cultural communication and unspoken workplace rules. These challenges may include “not understanding supervisors’ subtle hints,” “not knowing how to communicate with colleagues,” or “being misunderstood when raising questions.” To address these common issues, the Taipei City Workforce Development Agency is offering the first New Immigrant Employment Workshop of 2026. The workshop, titled This workshop is specially designed to address these challenges by providing practical guidance on workplace communication and cultural cues. Participants will learn how to better understand workplace dynamics, build trust, and improve their chances of success—not only in job interviews but also in achieving long-term employment.
