"title": "Stay Alert When Making Friends Online: Watch Out for Marriage Scams Taipei Anti-Fraud Team – June Fraud Prevention Campaign (6-6)",
"內容": "Fraud Statistics and Prevention Advisory for May 20261. In May 2026, a total of 1,448 fraud cases were reported in Taipei City, resulting in financial losses of NT$914.277 million. The three most prevalent fraud schemes, based on the number of reported cases and associated losses, were as follows:1. Online Shopping Fraud: 432 cases, with losses totaling NT$53.307 million.2. Investment Fraud: 173 cases, with losses totaling NT$429.284 million.3. Phishing Link Fraud: 113 cases, with losses totaling NT$4.464 million.2. Recently, fraud syndicates have frequently employed schemes involving fake online relationships and marriage scams linked to investment fraud, as well as fraudulent escort service scams. Offenders often create false identities on social networking platforms and messaging applications, approaching victims under the guise of friendship, marriage, or escort services to establish trust. Once victims lower their guard, scammers may request the purchase of game credits, payment of deposits or guarantee fees, or encourage participation in supposedly high-return investment opportunities. Victims are then persuaded to transfer funds, purchase prepaid credits, or make investments, resulting in substantial financial losses.Members of the public are urged to exercise caution when interacting with individuals online. Any request for money transfers, prepaid card purchases, deposits, bank account information, credit card details, or verification codes should be treated as a warning sign. Always verify the identity of the other party and the authenticity of the information before taking any action. If you encounter a suspected scam, please call the 165 Anti-Fraud Consultation Hotline immediately for assistance and verification. Staying vigilant is the best way to protect yourself from fraud and financial loss.",

"title": "Practical Leathercraft Workshop – Learning Outcomes Showcase (4-7)",
"內容": "Zhongshan District Office launched the “Practical Leathercraft Workshop” from March 5 to March 13, 2026, guiding 20 new immigrant participants on a focused and meticulous journey into artisan craftsmanship under the instruction of professional leathercraft teachers and new immigrant teaching assistants. During the workshop, participants handcrafted a variety of practical and meaningful leather items, including ID card holders, “Peace Turtle” keychains symbolizing blessings and safety, as well as the more challenging artisan short wallets and woven leather handbags. Although leathercraft may appear simple on the surface, every stitch reflected the participants’ patience, creativity, and dedication, resulting in works of craftsmanship comparable to boutique-quality products. A special exhibition of the participants’ work was held on graduation day, showcasing an impressive array of handcrafted items that resembled a luxury artisan market. The exhibition brought participants a strong sense of achievement and confidence. During the course, representatives from the Revenue Service Office, the Municipal Pawnshop, and the Household Registration Office were also invited to provide policy information and practical life resources, helping new immigrants gain greater access to useful services and information. Zhongshan District Office will continue to offer diverse and meaningful courses in the future—helping new immigrant communities learn practical skills, build friendships, and create a strong support network together. "內容": "Thanks to the joint efforts of frontline personnel and related agencies, Taiwan has successfully completed a major phase in controlling African Swine Fever (ASF). After 15 days of strict nationwide prevention measures, ASF has been cleared. The Ministry of Agriculture will continue disease prevention efforts to restore Taiwan’s ASF-free status. As ASF remains severe worldwide and the global situation shows no signs of easing, the ASF Response Center urges the public to comply with Taiwan’s quarantine and inspection regulations. When shopping online or traveling abroad, please carefully review product ingredients and do not purchase or bring in items containing meat or of unknown origin.Citizens are also reminded to inform friends and family overseas not to mail or send pork products—such as mooncakes with pork filling or pork-floss egg rolls—to Taiwan, as doing so violates quarantine laws and may result in penalties. Together, we can protect Taiwan’s food safety and the sustainable development of its agriculture.",

The exhibition aims to promote understanding and exchange across cultures, helping migrant workers no longer feel like strangers in the city, while giving citizens the opportunity to appreciate the lives of these hardworking individuals from different perspectives. The 7th edition of the exhibition, co-hosted by the Taipei City Department of Civil Affairs and the Rerum Novarum Centre, adopts the theme “Bridging Cultures”.
