Every Tuesday to Sunday 09:00~17:00。
(1) Service counter
Volunteers and English/Vietnamese/Thai/Indonesian interpreters on duty to provide consultation or translation services. Provides a variety of immigrant-relatede promotional materials.
(2) Delicacy, dining, and café area (Nangang Hall)
To help new immigrants connect with each other through cooking during short breaks. Provides home appliances for light food or home cooking.
(3) Public Internet access
Internet availibility with dedicated staff to help new immigrants efficiently obtain information from home.
(4) Study room
For government agencies or organizations hosting courses or activities related to new immigrants.
(5) Children’s playroom and reading room
A safe and comfortable space for their children when new immigrants pay visit or attend class at the hall. They will be able to concentrate on the study worry-free.
(6) Consultation room
Provides free basic legal advice on a variety of issues that new immigrants usually face while during their adjustment period.
(7) Living room
Comfortable living room has sofas and television set. Magazine and children’s reading materials available in Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian and English. Welcome all new immigrant families to host gatherings here to promote better bonding.
(8) Multifunction room (Nangang Hall) and Grand Hall (Wanhua Hall)
Karaoke equipment installed on-site to welcome all new immigrants to sing and enjoy their time with friends.
With the support system available at the New Immigrants’ Hall that provides an environment closer to their homelands, new immigrants can obtain all kinds of information about their home countries and Taiwan. They will be able to avoid isolation or stay off the underprivileged image to further assist other currently local or future new immigrants adapting to the life in Taiwan, their new home.
To assist new immigrants adapt to the Taiwan society and to advise on the lifelong learning concept. Everyone will understand the variety of resources available and the social customs at the city. Implements the caring policies issued by the government to realize the promise that makes this city a healthy place.
As of August 31, 2017, the total amount of users of New Immigrants Halls has reached 25,1049 people (11,4096 people have been to Nangang New Immigrants Hall and 13,6953 people have been to Wanhua New Immigrants Hall
