After new immigrants come to Taiwan, can their children attend regular public schools (elementary schools)?
1. If the child is a Republic of China (Taiwan) citizen, they can be assigned to a public elementary school for first grade based on their household registration. Students in other grades can apply directly to schools in their residential district for a transfer. 2.If the child is not a Republic of China (Taiwan) citizen, they should follow the "Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan", submitting the enrollment application and a copy of the ARC to the school in their residential district.
