My house has been reported as an illegal construction, and the Building Management Office intends to forcibly demolish it. If I file an appeal, can the demolition be postponed?

According to Article 93 of the Administrative Appeal Act, the execution of the original administrative decision will not be suspended simply because you file an appeal, unless otherwise stipulated by law. Therefore, in principle, the Building Management Office will proceed with the demolition of the illegal construction. However, if you believe it is necessary to suspend the execution, you can apply to the original decision-making authority or the municipal government to suspend the execution. The authority will then decide whether suspension is warranted based on the conditions outlined in Paragraph 2 of Article 93 of the Administrative Appeal Act.
