If a restaurant is penalized by our agency for violating Air Pollution Control Act and is given a deadline to improve, and if the improvement period expires without compliance with the same provisions upon inspection, fines will be imposed based on the severity of the pollution, the characteristics of the pollution, the number of violations, and the type of violator.
For violations of Article 32, Paragraph 1, Item 5, fines will range from NT$1,200 to NT$100,000. If the violator is an industry or business establishment (including restaurants required to issue unified invoices), fines will range from NT$100,000 to NT$5,000,000.
Additionally, for violations of the odor emission standards under Article 20, Paragraph 1, and violations of the relevant management regulations under Article 23, Paragraph 2, fines will range from NT$20,000 to NT$1,000,000; if the violator is an industry or business establishment, fines will range from NT$100,000 to NT$20,000,000.
