What is the fine for littering cigarette butts?

In designated clean-up areas, spitting, chewing and discarding betel nut juice or residue,

littering paper scraps, cigarette butts, chewing gum, fruit peels, seeds, juice, residue, or

other general waste is strictly prohibited. Violators are subject to fines ranging from

NT$1,200 to NT$6,000 according to Article 50 of the law. Specifically, from August 15,

2023, the fine for discarding cigarette butts has been increased to between NT$3,600 and

NT$6,000.
