Are there any regulations that control the noise caused by setting off firecrackers and fireworks?

According to the Taipei City Government regulations:

1. The setting off of professional firecrackers and fireworks, as well as general fireworks that produce whistling or explosive sounds, is prohibited between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. However, this restriction does not apply to New Year's Day, Lunar New Year (1st day of the lunar calendar), Lantern Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Ghost Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, National Day, New Year's Eve, and folk festivals or international exchanges approved by the government.

2. The discharge of professional firecrackers and fireworks, or any general fireworks that produce whistling or explosive sounds, is prohibited at all times within a 50-meter radius of schools, healthcare institutions (excluding clinics), and cultural districts.

3. Anyone violating these regulations by setting off firecrackers or fireworks that generate noise may face a fine ranging from NT$3,000 to NT$30,000.
