The Datong District Office organized the "Fashion Patchwork Handicraft Class" for
new immigrants at the Wanhua New Immigrants’ Hall from March 20th to April 17th,
2024. This course, utilizing local resources unique to the Datong District, taught
various practical handicraft skills for creating versatile patchwork pieces. Through the
program, new immigrants gained valuable skills enriching their family lives and
enhancing their employability.
In collaboration with the Civil Affairs Bureau, the Datong District Office hosted a
graduation exhibition at the Shilin New Immigrants’ Hall. This exhibition showcased
the works and highlights of the "Fashion Patchwork Handicraft Class," aiming to
promote the course's achievements to new immigrant communities and encourage
their participation in life adaptation guidance programs.
