What welfare services are available for new immigrants in Taipei City?

The welfare and counseling for new immigrants are jointly provided by various city departments, with the Office of New Immigrant Affairs overseeing coordination. The Department of Social Welfare offers social support and economic assistance to new immigrant women in special circumstances. The Department of Civil Affairs assists with cross-cultural adaptation. Language learning issues are addressed by the Department of Education, while employment counseling and vocational training are provided by the Department of Labor. Maternal and child healthcare is supported by the Department of Health. The Department of Social Welfare's services for new immigrants include:

1. Economic assistance for new immigrants in special circumstances who have not yet naturalized.

2. The Taipei New Immigrant Family Service Center offers case counseling, legal consultations, psychological counseling, and growth-oriented program support for new immigrants. Telephone: (02) 2558-0133 

3. Taipei Community Care Strongholds offer visitation services, provide information on welfare resources for new immigrant families, and offer emotional support services. There are 4 strongholds set up in different areas, see below for more information:
