Can an applicant simultaneously apply for Taipei City Domestic Violence Victim Assistance and Taipei City Assistance for Family in Hardship as a victim of domestic violence defined in Article 4, Paragraph 1, Item 3? If simultaneous applications are not allowed, which assistance program is recommended for me to choose?
A. Applicants can first seek recognition as a family in hardship in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Act of Assistance for Family in Hardship. If approved, they may be eligible for various forms of assistance based on their family situation, including emergency living assistance, children's living allowances, childcare allowances, children’s education assistance, medical assistance for injuries and illnesses, legal litigation assistance, and entrepreneurial loan assistance.
B. If applicants do not qualify for emergency living assistance under the Act of Assistance for Family in Hardship, they are eligible to apply for housing rent and necessary living expenses assistance through the Taipei City Domestic Violence Victim Assistance program.
