Taipei’s Multicultural Event ~ The Bubur Chacha Carnival will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Taipei Expo Park, Yuanshan. We invite you to join us in experiencing the lively atmosphere of this international celebration! Bubur Chacha, a colorful and flavorful Southeast Asian dessert, is one of the most popular treats in the region. Filled with tropical fruits and various toppings, this delightful dish is a perfect blend of visual and taste sensations. Just like Taipei, our city is a vibrant melting pot of diverse cultures. Through the rich diversity of Bubur Chacha, we celebrate the brilliance of Taipei in October and invite everyone to experience elements of Southeast Asian festivities, immersing in the most vibrant and exotic festival culture! Exciting Activities for the Day: ◈ Cultural Performances Performances of singing and dancing by new immigrants and second-generation immigrants. ◈ Bubur Chacha DIY Create your very own bowl of Bubur Chacha. ◈ Food Tasting Enjoy a variety of Southeast Asian treats, including Vietnamese desserts, Indonesian layered cake, Thai milk tea, Malaysian pandan sticky rice cake, and Filipino cassava cake with cheese. ◈ Festival Experiences • Vietnamese conical hat painting • Fun festival games from Indonesia • Thai elephant keychain DIY • Malaysian bike riding experience • Filipino treehouse collective art project ◈ Peranakan Culture Exhibition Curated by Professor Chen Sheng-Yuan, this exhibition explores the origins, development, influence, and legacy of Peranakan culture, offering an immersive experience through visuals and real objects to showcase the beauty and warmth of Peranakan traditions.
