Indonesian batik boasts a rich history, being intricately woven into various traditional ceremonies and daily life. Each pattern carries its own unique meaning. Recognizing its cultural importance, the United Nations has designated Indonesian batik as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.

For this event, we have invited Saian, a certified examiner and trainer in batik from Java, Indonesia. Saian will guide 25 students, all newcomers to batik, in creating their own batik art. Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to try on traditional Indonesian batik clothing, available on site for an immersive cultural experience.
