African swine fever discovered in Cambodia – Carrying pork from there will result in a significant fine(4-1)

On April 3, 2019, Cambodia reported a case of African swine fever to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE). Per Taiwan regulations, starting today travelers from Cambodia are not permitted to bring meat products into Taiwan. First-time violators will receive an NT$200,000 fine. A second offense will result in an NT$1 million fine. Foreign travelers who do not pay the fine will be refused entry.
