Introduction on four High School Specialized Art Programs

Zhongzheng Senior High School has specialized art programs, including an art program, dance program, and music program. Zhongzheng High School dance program is known for their academic excellence and dance performance. Their emphasis on both academic studies and dance fostered an excellent cultural environment and a comprehensive performance art program. In recent years, Zhongzheng High School is collaborating with Alberta Ballet School, and Moscow City University via online classes. Furthermore, starting in 2021, Zhongzheng High School has signed a collaboration program with Maine Central Institute, and Bossov Ballet Theater. This is the first high school in Taiwan to provide international dance classes. Zhongzheng High School also signed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program with University of Taipei.
Taipei Municipal Fuxing High School established its arts program in 1997, program included music, fine art, drama, and dance. Fuxing High School won the 1st Arts Education Contribution Award from the Ministry of Education. Their drama program is the only publicly funded high school drama program in Taiwan. The school’s specialized facilities included a proscenium, an experimental theatre, and an audiovisual classroom. Moreover, the school’s regular classrooms are computerized classrooms. Fuxing High School arts program focuses on introduction to theatre and practical learning to foster students’ appreciation for art and whole-person education.
Minglun Senior High School is located near Yuanshan Park, Confucius Temple, and Taipei Fine Arts Museum, the school is immersed in a rich environment of history, culture, and contemporary arts. The school provides students the best off-campus learning resources and nourishment for art and creativity. The school has a building dedicated to fine arts program, which included dedicated fine arts classrooms, computer graphics classrooms, and a large exhibition gallery that allows students to showcase and exhibit what they learned. Minglun Senior High School’s arts program is designed for students that are aiming to study design related majors in universities. The school also hosts arts and literature seminars, artwork exhibitions, and microcinema filming events, etc. to provide diverse creative and learning opportunities for the students. Minglun Senior High School places an emphasis on the integration and balance of different school subjects.
The Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University (HSNU) music program is established in 1980. This prestigious music program is held in high regard for their history and heritage. Throughout the years, students of HSNU are known for their endless energy and an air of elegance. HSNU students usually perform well on their practical examination, and are well received by well-known international conservatories. HSNU music program has been established for more than 40 years, and has cultivated countless excellent musical talents. Their excellence has shone through in competitions and on stages. HSNU fine art program is established in 1989, since then, students in the program have won many accolades in competitions, and found their way into arts and design colleges both domestically and internationally. HSNU fine art program students often place top three in art related majors.
