Since February 2015, the Test for Basic Language Abilities and General Understanding of the Rights and Duties of Naturalized ROC Citizens in Taipei City has been conducted on a rolling basis. Registration is available during the office hours of each district's Household Registration Office in Taipei City (from 8:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday). Please bring the following documents to any Household Registration Office in the city to register for the test:

1.    A valid Alien Resident Certificate or Alien Permanent Resident Certificate.

2.    One color National ID card photo taken within the last 2 years that complies with the National ID card photo specifications.

3.    The NT$500 examination fee.
