Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, is one of the major Hindu festivals, celebrating the victory of Lord Rama over the ten-headed demon king Ravana. The festival lasts for ten days in total. During the first nine days, various Dussehra-related performances take place. The tenth night marks the climax of the festival, known as the "Victory Day." Over the course of the ten days, a dramatic performance called "Ramlila," depicting the life of Lord Rama, is staged. The play begins with the birth of Rama and continues until his victory is achieved.
