Prevention of Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) (2-1)

Taipei City Government would like to remind migrant workers and international students to take preventive measures.
 

What can I do to prevent novel coronavirus?

  1. Preventive measures:
    1. Wear a facemask when you have symptoms like a fever or coughing;
    2. Frequently wash your hands with soap;
    3. Avoid going to crowded places such as traditional wet markets or hospitals; wear a mask for the entire day if you have to go to a hospital.
    4. Avoid contacts with wild animals or birds.

If you are experiencing fever (body temperature ≧38℃) or acute respiratory infection, and if you have traveled to China or have come in contact with confirmed infected patient within 14 days of having the fever or respiratory infection, please put on a mask immediately and call 1922 hotline or Taipei epidemic prevention hotline at (02)2375-3782 and go to a doctor as instructed. Also remember to inform the doctor about your travel history, occupation, contact and cluster history (TOCC).
 
 
  1. How can I help people around me that have developed suspected symptoms?
Please wear a facemask while trying to assist them and call 1922 hotline or Taipei epidemic prevention hotline at (02)2375-3782.
Help them seek immediate medical attention as instructed and inform the doctor about your travel history, occupation, contact and cluster history (TOCC).
