■ Subsidy eligibility:
  1. Applicant has a child under the age of 2 (including birthday month)
  2. Applicant is identified as a member of a low-income household or middle-to-low-income household by local governments in accordance with the Public Assistance Act; or the parents (or guardian) of the child, whose annual gross income is confirmed by the National Tax Administration to be less than the reporting standards or to have a consolidated income tax rate of less than 20% in the most recent year.
  3. Applicant's child was not provided with daycare using public funds.
  4. Applicant did not receive subsidy for unpaid parental leave.
  5. Applicant's child did not accept public or public subsidized daycare services.
Note: Childcare benefits for children under the age of 2 and Taipei City childcare benefits are in the same category; these benefits cannot be received at the same time.
  • Subsidy:
  1. For applicants whose annual gross income is less than the reporting standards or who have a consolidated income tax rate of less than 20% in the most recent year: Each child receives an NT$2,500 monthly subsidy.
  2. Middle-to-low-income household: Each child receives an NT$4,000 monthly subsidy.
  3. Low-income household: Each child receives an NT$5,000 monthly subsidy.
  4. Applicants that meet one of the prior conditions and have more than three children are eligible to receive an additional NT$1,000 subsidy each month.
 
Required Documents:
  1. Application
  2. National ID (both parents, the guardian, or the actual caretaker of the child) and proof of the child's identity (e.g., a photocopy of the household registration certificate).
  3. Photocopy of the applicant's post office or Taipei Fubon Bank passbook.
  4. Applicants who are not a registered resident of Taiwan are required to provide a photocopy of an ARC or passport.
